Return Policy for Online Orders
If you’ve changed your mind, it’s not a problem! If you’d like to return your full or partial order, please send it back to our distribution centre within 30 days of the original order date with a completed Return Form. We are happy to issue you a refund in the form of a Fairweather E-Gift Card for use on a future online purchase. E-Gift cards do not expire. You can also return or exchange the items in person to any Fairweather store location. If you choose to return your items to a Fairweather store location, you will receive a store credit to use in-store. Please note that store credits issued in-store can only be used on an in-store purchase and are not transferable to our online store, even if the original purchase was made online. If returning by mail, you will be responsible for shipping costs to return items and shipping charges must be prepaid.
Items sent to our distribution centre must meet the following criteria in order to receive an E-Gift card:
- All items are unworn and unwashed (free of any stains from makeup, deodorant, or wear) with original Fairweather tags attached.
- Items must be accompanied with a hard copy of the original invoice, which serves as your receipt.
- Returns must be processed within 30 days of the original order date with a completed Return Form.
Merchandise purchased online can be returned via mail to our distribution centre or returned in-person to any Fairweather store location. Please keep in mind that in-store returns will be issued store credit that can only be used in-store. No in-person drop off will be accepted at our distribution centre or corporate office. We recommend shipping back using Canada Post Expedited shipping with a tracking number, as Fairweather is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Without proof of receipt and delivery, Fairweather will not issue return credit. Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Fairweather does not provide return shipping labels. A restocking fee will be assessed on orders that are refused by the customer at the time of delivery or returned due to an “undeliverable address”.
Reserved Rights Regarding Returns
Fairweather reserves the right to solely define and limit, refuse, and/or reject returns from customers at any time due to:
- An irregular or excessive returns history indicative of “wardrobing”
- An irregular or excessive returns history involving worn, altered, laundered, damaged, or missing items
- Potential fraudulent or criminal activity
Similarly, Fairweather reserves the right to refuse service (both in-store and online) to any customer or entity, due to similar actions as noted above.
Non-Fairweather items sent to our distribution centre will be discarded upon receipt.
Step-By-Step Return Process
1. Print a return form here: Return Form
2. Fill out all fields on the return form.
3. Package your merchandise and place the return form and original invoice inside the package. Return products in original packaging, when possible, or any other box or mailer bag of your choice.
4. Drop the package off at your nearest post office.
5. Ship the return package to: Fairweather Online Returns, 1185 Caledonia Road, Toronto, ON, M6A 2X1
Once the return package has been received and is processed by our distribution centre, we will send a confirmation email which will include your E-Gift card code and balance.
Final Sale Items
All items listed at 70% off or greater are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned, exchanged, or issued store credit. Gift Cards, E-Gift cards and jewellery are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned, exchanged, or issued store credit.
Becuase we cannot ensure our customers will be issued the style/size they desire by the time their returned items come back to our distribution centre, we are unable to accommodate exchanges by mail. We will issue you a store credit via an E-Gift Card once we’ve received your return. That way, you may use the E-Gift Card towards the correct item/size or for another item.
If you would like to exchange at a local Fairweather store location, we would be more than happy to process an exchange in-store. However, we cannot guarantee that we will have the same styles or desired size/colour in-stock during your visit. If we are unable to make an exchange in-store, we will process the item as a return and issue you a store credit for use on a future purchase in-store.
Damaged/ Defective Items
Please take a photo of the item and email it to our Customer Support team with a description of the damage. Damaged or defective items must be reported to Fairweather Customer Support within 48 hours of receipt. If the item is not immediately reported, a store credit will not be authorized. If you believe you have received an incorrect item, please email us within 24 hours of receiving your order.
Upon inspection of the photo you will be asked to print a Return Form. Please fill it out completely and return it along with the damaged item. You may print a copy of the Return Form HERE. Once we receive the item, we will issue you a store credit via E-Gift Card in the amount of your damaged item, plus the cost of shipping the return up to a maximum of $10.00 CAD. In order to receive credit for your returned shipping costs, you must include a copy of the receipt in your shipment.
Store credit via E-Gift Card for your returned item(s) will be processed once they are received at our distribution centre. Please allow 5-7 business days to process your return once it is received into our distribution centre. Your E-Gift Card covers the original purchase price and tax if applicable. Fairweather does not credit original shipping charges.
We accept in-store exchanges at any Fairweather store location. To qualify for an exchange, the following criteria must be met:
– All items are unworn and unwashed (free of any stains from makeup, deodorant, or wear) with original Fairweather tags attached.
– Items must be accompanied with the original receipt issued in-store.
– The exchange must be processed in-store within 15 days of the purchase date.
Gift cards and jewellery are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned, exchanged, or issued store credit.
